Letter from the Executive Director 

This month I want to take this opportunity to thank John Webster for his work supporting USBI over the past years. John has departed USBI to focus on his bulk biochar sourcing bulk biochar sourcing and consultation services.  Don’t worry, John wi l be staying solidly in the US biochar world, leading the Biochar on Site Biochar on Site and as a member of the 2025 conference team. initiative John started by volunteering with USBI in late 2020, becoming a key organizer of the 2022 North American Biochar Conference in Morgantown, WV. From there, John became Communications Director at USBI, publishing newsletters, growing interest in biochar and USBI on social media, hosting and promoting demonstrations, and so much more. John put so much into this organization, and is a big part of our growth. Thank you John, and we wish you luck leading Biochar on Site and moving the needle on bulk biochar sales.
